Receiving the Academic Needs Scholarship from BYU Independent Study has allowed me to finish my degree—something I never thought would be possible. The support lifted a tremendous burden and gave me the motivation to keep going. I am eternally grateful for this opportunity.

Your generosity goes beyond funding my education; it has opened doors to a brighter future for me and my family. I come from a background where higher education was a distant dream for many. With your support, I am poised to become the first in my family to graduate college, breaking the cycle of limited opportunities that have persisted for generations.
Academic and financial need scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply one year after the previous scholarship’s award date. Mabel Brown Scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply after they have completed the awarded scholarship course.
